7 Quick Takes

-- one --

{We have a winner!}  Congratulations, Lan N.!  Don't forget to check out the shop and my Instagram before choosing your greeting cards or prints--I've been very productive these last ten days.  c;

-- two --

The rest of you, this is what I've been up to:

And lots more where that came from!

It's difficult to get a solid chunk of time to snap, upload, edit, type, and publish to the shop, so there are actually a lot more photography greeting cards and hand-illustrated cards and prints than you can see in the Etsy widget over there on the right or in the shop.  So I created a new Instagram account, @thefineprintshoppe, if you want to follow.  I'm thinking of throwing a thing or two up there with a price and seeing how I like the Paypal invoice route.

(Have a personalized message or quote you'd like hand-lettered and decorated?  I'm happy to do commissions!)

-- three --

Speaking of Instagram, me + Insta = BFF.  I've all but abandoned Facebook for the convenience and low-commitment of browsing snapshots of the daily lives of people I only know on the internet.  It.  Is.  Awesome.  Half the haste, zero the drama.

-- four --

I've been hired on by a woman who goes to my parish as an extension of her tutoring business.  She had me work with a pupil this past week and appreciated that my heart was in it.  She's adding me on as an English and reading tutor, which frees her up to bring on more clients that need math instruction.  It's hourly; I have the use of her house and resources; and it's right down the street.  In other words, it's perfect!  I can choose how many pupils to take on and run right up the road to nurse between sessions if need be.

-- five --

ALL the shows.  Game of Thrones.  Mad Men.  The Big Bang Theory.  Speaking of Mad Men, {Christy's commentary} is the best.

-- six --

These literally gave me chills the other day.  Credit to my sister for finding and sharing with me (cause she'll insist!): {28 Beautiful Words the English Language Should Steal}.

And komorebi, Japanese, "sunlight filtering through trees."  <3
