Considering that he would have been a Romano-British tribesman fighting off the pagan Anglo-Saxon invaders, that would have been awkward. Plus, England didn't exist yet.

ReplyDeleteI'm also not pronouncing Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch correctly--pretty much gave up after "Llanfair." :P
Oh, dear. I can't even begin to pronounce Llanfair. But the other ones are hard to describe because we don't have the sounds for "ll" in English!
